Wow! Learning Instagram Secrets for Just RM10! | My Fun Class!

Hello my lovely friends! Can you believe it? Sometimes, the best surprises come with tiny price tags! Let me tell you about a super cool thing that happened to me, back on October 10th, 2015.

What Was the Big Surprise?

For the very first time, I joined a special class all about... Instagram! You know, that fun app with all the pretty pictures! And guess how much it cost? Only RM10! Like buying one yummy ice cream! Wow! I almost couldn't believe it!

Who Held This Awesome Class?

The class was organized by a very kind and clever lady called Mommy Hanum. It was a special class just for our little group, the WahMillionaire Shaklee team. We are a group of friends who share lovely Shaklee health products. 

Mommy Hanum wanted to teach us the first baby steps for using Instagram to tell more people about our nice things! It was a small, cozy class. Only about 10 of us were there. Like a little secret learning party!

What Did We Learn? | Instagram Magic Tricks!

Mommy Hanum shared so many cool tips and secrets! It felt like she was showing us magic tricks to make our Instagram pages sparkle! Here are some of the secrets we learned:

1. Choosing Your Special Name | Branding:

   • Your Instagram name is like your shop's sign! Choose one that is easy for people to remember. Easy to find when they search. And maybe sounds nice and makes people curious about what you sell! Like a yummy cookie name!

2. Making Your Front Door Look Nice | Edit Profile:

   • Your profile page is like the front door to your Instagram shop! Many people on Instagram like to pay with cash when they get their goodies (that's called 'cash on delivery' or COD!). So, the info on your profile needs to be super clear, simple, and tell people quickly who you are and what you offer. Like a clear 'Welcome!' sign!

3. Open or Closed Door? | Account Settings:

   • If your Instagram shop is brand new, it is usually better to keep the door open! (Set your account to 'Public'). Why? So lots of new friends (followers!) can easily peek inside, look at your pretty pictures (your gallery!), and decide if they want to follow you! If the door is locked ('Private'), people might just walk away.

   • 

4. Making Pretty Pictures | Flat Lay Fun!:

   • Everyone loves looking at pretty pictures, right? Nice photos get more 'Likes' (hearts!) and make more people want to follow you!

   • Mommy Hanum showed us cool ways to arrange things nicely for photos, like a style called 'Flat Lay' (where you put things flat on a table and take a picture from above).

   • She also told us about fun apps on our phones to make pictures look even better! Like Studio, Pic Arts, Cymera, FotoRus... so many magic wands for photos!

5. Making New Friends | Followers and Likes!:

• How do you get more friends to visit your Instagram shop? Mommy Hanum shared four secret paths:

• Path 1: Invite Your Current Friends! Ask your friends from Facebook or your phone contacts to follow you!

• Path 2: Find Friends Who Like Similar Things! Look for people who might like what you share (like healthy stuff if you sell vitamins!). Go say hello on their pages! (This is called 'Targeted Following').

• Path 3: See Who Likes Fancy Shops! Look at the followers of other Instagram shops that sell nice (maybe expensive!) things similar to yours. Maybe those followers will like your shop too! (Like copying friends from another playground!).

• Path 4: Use a Helper App! There are apps like Crowdfire that can help! What does it do? It can help you find new people to follow. It can also tell you who stopped being your friend (unfollowed you!). And it can help you find followers from other people's accounts too! Like a little helper robot!

The simple do's & don'ts for Instagram

The Big "Aha!" Moment!

Wow! Learning all these things was like turning on a lightbulb in my head! Ding! So many times during the class, I found myself saying, "Ooowwwwh... so that's how it works!" These were simple little tricks, things we might see every day but don't really notice. 

But Mommy Hanum showed us how these simple tricks, when we do them right, can make our Instagram pages go BOOM! Lots more likes on our pictures! Lots more followers visiting our shop! And when more people know about our shop, maybe our little Shaklee business can grow bigger and help more people feel healthy! Alhamdullillah!

Prizes and... CAKE!

The class wasn't just learning, it was fun too! At the end, Mommy Hanum gave prizes! Special Shaklee vitamins! Wow! One prize went to the person who got the most new followers during the class! Super fast! There were also little quizzes! If you answered correctly, you got a vitamin prize too! So exciting!

And the very, very, VERY best part for my tummy? Mommy Hanum served the most delicious chocolate ganache cake! Oh. My. Goodness. It was SO yummy, I wanted to lick my fingers clean! Rich, chocolatey, melt-in-your-mouth happiness! Best cake ever! Thank you, Mommy Hanum!

A Little Thought to Share...

Learning new things is always exciting, right? Even simple things, like Instagram tricks. This class taught me that even small steps and simple knowledge can make a big difference if you use them well. It made me feel hopeful for my little business.
