My BMW M3 Mistake at 24 | A Fun Ride, An Expensive Lesson!
When I was 24 years old, something exciting happened! I got my very first real job! Yay! A grown-up job with real money! After working for a few months, guess what I did? I bought my dream car! It was a super fast, super cool sports car. A BMW M3! Vroom vroom! I had wanted this car for such a long, long time.
Oh, buying it was SO exciting! It was shiny and fast! Driving it felt like flying! Wheeee! I felt so happy, like I was on top of the world!
BUT... oh dear me. There was a little problem. This super cool car was also... super thirsty for money! It needed special sleepy-time insurance (that costs lots of money!).
It needed special check-ups and baths (more money!). If something little broke? Oh no! Fixing it needed BIG money! And the gasoline? Gulp gulp gulp! It drank gasoline like a very, very thirsty giant!
Even though driving was super fun, my wallet started feeling sad. Every month, POOF! All my money from my new job seemed to disappear into the car. Uh oh. Keeping the car happy was making my bank account cry!
So, after only 5 months, I made a hard choice. I decided to sell my beautiful dream car. Bye-bye, M3! And guess who bought it?
Another young person, just like me, who had just started their first job! (He looked so happy! I didn't tell him how much money the car liked to eat... maybe I should have? Hehehe.)
But hey, that was just my story! It's a personal lesson. Everyone is different. Some people really love their fancy cars, and that is okay too! This was just a little lesson my money and my dream car taught me when I was young.
What do you think? Have you ever bought something super exciting that turned out to be a little bit tricky? Tell me your story!
